About Me
I’m a web designer, editor, writer, photographer, composer and singer/songwriter based in Leeds, UK.
If you need a website designed or updated, copy written, copy edited, photographs taken, a soundtrack or theme tune created for your video, film or game, contact me.
I currently work as Humour Editor for Hallmark Cards, where I’m in charge of the Creative department’s Intranet site. This involves liaising with the entire department of around 40 people as well as other departments and using Microsoft Sharepoint to provide them with the most useful Intranet content.
Before that I was a web designer for the charity Epilepsy Action, where I mainted their website, epilepsy.org.uk, oversaw their online community forum4e.org.uk and designed and maintained the National Doodle Day website, nationaldoodleday.org.uk, including the rather nifty CSS floated gallery, which I’m rather proud of. Sadly, the site’s changed a lot since then… But I’m hoping to put up an archive version of my design.
I have a degree in music from Barnsley College, and studied for three months in Huntington Beach, California, I helped build a pond at a Birds of Prey sanctuary and two of my short plays were performed by Bradford University Theatre Group as part of their ‘By the Rules’ season.
I sing, play guitar, keyboards and program sequencers. I also occasionally attempt to play the doumbek, the Jew’s harp and the Stylophone.
